If you want to try some more substantial lycra, we found the legwearuk shop on ebay to be quite good.
Start with a plain biketard with a T shirt over the top and go out on your bike. No one notices. In fact you could get away with a full black catsuit in the cooler weather, but if I went that far I'd need to invest in a proper cycling top to put over it.
